Susan got her doctorate and wanted new business cards that reflected not only her degree attainment but also her warmth, quirkiness, and sense of curiosity that goes with her work as a writer and researcher. An owl perched on books was a perfect symbol for this. We also wanted a slight nod to adventure and exploration by alluding to passports, with the colors of gold on dark blue. There are limitations to expressing the physicality of a design when you're looking at it on a screen. Mama's Sauce did a stellar job, printing with a mix of foil and metallic inks on french paper.
